-To know the meaning of mental wellbeing and the influence of substance abuse
-To familiarize with the nursing process in mental health nursing and nursing of substance abusers
-To use the principals of therapeutical communication
-To see the client/patient in an active role
-To recognize the process of crisis and support people in crisis
-To know the methods of psychosocial work
-To be able to recognize individual strengths of the client/patient
-To be able to identify ethical issues in mental health nursing and nursing of substance abusers
