Objective

Student
- understand the benefits of modeling in event construction, visualization and communication
- knows the basic functions of the SketchUp for Web 3d program from the point of view of area planning of the event
- can do simple area planning with the program, e.g. draw the area map as a 2d image or, if desired, as a 3d model
- get sufficient skills to continue and expand the use of the program in the modeling of event areas in the future

Content

In the course, you will familiarize yourself with the use of the modeling program in the area planning of the event. You will learn how to use the basic functions of the free SketchUp for Web 3d program that works for private use and defines area planning. You apply your skills either in drawing an existing or imaginary event area and in 3d modeling.

With the help of the program, you can easily try and modify the location of different elements in the event area, always with the right dimensions. You can use the program to draw, for example, the base map or other guide map required as an attachment to the rescue plan, or visualize it in a 3d model for the partners.

Location and time

Teaching methods

The studies are carried out entirely as online studies, which you can complete according to your own schedule. You study how to use the program independently with the help of instructions and teaching recordings, and you apply what you have learned in practice tasks.

The training is aimed at operators of the event industry and those interested in the field. Studying and using the program requires fluent basic computer skills, but no other special skills.

Student workload

Teaching recordings and instructions 2h
Drawing and modeling practice 25 hours
Total 27h = 1 credit
