    Learning objectives
    The student understands the principles of digital picture formation in video camera and knows the characteristics of different digital formats. In addition, the student is able to operate a video camera in a versatile manner in varied circumstances, making use of the prevailing light. The student learns the basics of visual expression and editing in the video editing workstation. The student is able to work as an active member of a group and advance the realization of aims.
    Contents
    Learning how to use different tools that are in use in visual storytelling. The basics of using video. On lectures and by practising, you familiarize yourself with the technology that is used in video production, lighting, the basic principles of digital video cameras, computer based editing work stations and common editing software. You also familiarize yourself with the basics of composition, the continuity of narration in visual images and understand the importance of editing as a part of good visual storytelling.
