Objective

Having completed the course you understand the rules of Finnish working culture. You are able to avoid conflict situations in the workplace caused by culture collisions. You will improve your employment possibilities in Finland. You are thus better prepared to lead an active life in the surrounding society.

Content

- Rules of working life and Finnish work culture: presentations by working life representatives and independent studying for Working Life Certificate
- Career advice for recruitment and employment opportunities: CV, job hunting, getting prepared for a job interview
- Finnish working life in practice (job shadowing)

-ABC of Working Life

Student workload

Presentations and visits by specialists of working life with tasks/ reports 50 hours
Skills based CV and job application 15 hours
Independent studying of ABC of Working Life material and test 30 hours
Job shadowing at a Finnish workplace and report 30 hours
