Materials

The material for the distance part of the Intensive Week will be distributed in November. During the Intensive Week, students will receive the lecture materials. Deloitte's IFRS in your pocket can be downloaded from the Internet. In addition, students will receive an electronic version of the English-Finnish-English vocabulary.

Teaching methods

The Intensive Week will start in November with a remote lecture on Zoom and an assignment to pre-distributed student teams. The Zoom lecture will focus on analysing companies based on financial ratios. The returnable assignment will be based on the lecture given.

The Intensive Week is organised by the VIVES University of Applied Sciences. The first day of the week will be a cultural game, which aims to get students to work in teams. On the following days, there will be lectures on IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) on non-current and current assets. After the lectures, students will work in workshops in their own teams. In the afternoons, there will be a cultural programme and visits organised by VIVES. On Friday, students will prepare a presentation based on a distance learning assignment, the content of which will be to provide investors with information about the company analysed. There is also a personal test on the content taught during the week. On Saturday, before the departure, there will be a closing ceremony of the intensive week.

International connections

Students will study in English with students from EU universities and universities of applied sciences in a distance and intensive course under the ERASMUS+ BIP programme.
