Objective

During this study unit You will
- understand the principles of Building Information Modeling in construction production and know the rules of the game related to the use of data modeling
- know how the data model can be used in construction production
- handle and utilize the information model of a building
- update the data model with actual and schedule data
- manage and structure data model-based information

Content

The content of the study unit
- the use of the data model at different stages of construction production
- agreed rules of the game for modeling (YTV2012 and YIV2015) for construction production
- data model processing with Solibri Model Checker software: e.g. model verification, quantity calculation and data model-based communication
- making cost calculations, schedules and other site plans using data models
