Objective

You are able to able to use common logic of the thematic issue to solve simple problems mathematically. You are able to use learned logic for the planning of uncomplicated lab measurements and to make the measurements and corresponding calculations and analyse the results.

Content

- Basics of thermodynamics: meter scales, thermal expansion, thermal energy, volumetric thermal expansion, latent heat
- Heat transfer: conduction, convection, mechanical applications of radiation thermodynamics
- Static of fluids: pressure, hydrostatic pressure
- Hydraulics: volume flow rate and form of Bernoullis equation. Frictional flows and pressure loss and pump calculations and sizing
- Lab tests
