Assessment methods and criteria

Evaluation is based on the exams, specified exercises and assignments announced by the teacher on the lessons and on Moodle. If the student's total amount of points is
- less than 40 % of maximum -> grade 0 (fail)
- 40 - 51 % of maximum -> grade 1
- 52 - 63 % of maximum -> grade 2
- 64 - 75 % of maximum -> grade 3
- 76 - 91 % of maximum -> grade 4
- more than 91 % of maximum -> grade 5.

Assessment criteria, fail (0)

The student is unable to understand or apply basic electrical physics concepts

Less than 40 % of points from exams and other exercises or assignments

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The student is able to understand and apply basic electrical physics concepts

Grade 1: 40 - 51 % of points from exams and other exercises or assignments

Grade 2: 52 - 63 % of points from exams and other exercises or assignments

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

The student is able to understand and apply electrical physics concepts in calculations

Grade 3: 64 - 75 % of points from exams and other exercises or assignments

Grade 4: 76 - 91 % of points from exams and other exercises or assignments

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student is able to understand and apply electrical physics concepts fluently in calculations and in applications

More than 91 % of points from exams and other exercises or assignments
