Teaching methods

The student can independently produce (record, edit and publish) material mainly related to auditory expression, as well as record and post-process audio material related to the image.
The production process of the AV industry with its various stages and job descriptions will become familiar. In AV-audio, you get to know more about working in studio conditions and the use of equipment, you learn about recording dialogue and VoiceOver, effects work and sound synchronization, and post-processing at workstations. Let's learn about multi-channel technology and multi-channel microphone technologies. We also study radio and podcast technology and produce content for radio and podcasts.

Assessment methods and criteria

1-2: The student knows how to produce, record, edit and publish material under guidance and actively participates in group work.
3-4: The student knows how to use production and post-production systems in a versatile way. The student knows how to independently cut and modify sound suitable for different program styles and masters the principles of continuity and rhythm. The student is able to justify the solutions he has made and knows how to evaluate his skills realistically. If necessary, the student takes responsibility and commits to common goals.
5: The student is able to independently record and edit an expressive high-quality program. The student critically and comprehensively evaluates his own learning and competence and is able to question what he has learned and brings his own views and alternative working models to the fore. The student takes responsibility, acts on his own initiative and also helps others in achieving their goals.
