Teaching methods

After having succesfully finished the course, you should be able to
Describe different approaches to smart city designs based on information provided in the case study materials
Co-operate in smart cities related project in international settings using multidisciplinary tools and technologies
Communicate and discuss the feasibility and business model issues regarding different design solutions
Method: Problem-based learning based on an assignment provided by the stakeholders.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

The product can be easily implemented.
The demo-version of the product is well-executed.
The ideas behind the product are innovative and can give new impulses.
There is a well-executed security concept which gives a good impression of all important possible security risks.
There is a well-executed data protection impact assessment which gives a good impression of all possible data protection risks.
The execution of the powerpoint (or similar) is convincing. The students show good presentation and know how to use body language and intonation (etc.). Their language skills are good.
The overall presentation is very compelling. The company is likely to consider the ideas.
