Objective

The student knows the most important conversion processes of energy forms. He/she understands the functioning principles of different heat pumps and is able to apply heat pump technology in utilizing waste heat and in improving energy efficiency in heat production. The student knows the modern heat insulation solutions and their possibilities in improving energy efficiency. He/she knows the possibilities in smart systems in improving energy efficiency and is able to apply them in system planning.

Content

Basic principles and circular processes of thermodynamics. Applying LTO-technology in fluid and gas currents. Applying heat pump technology in fluid and gas currents. New heat insulation materials. The possibilities of phase change materials. Smart systems in process control.
