Objective

The student knows the forest fuel production and the use of applications in different places. The student knows the forest biomass-based energy production chains. The student knows different qualities of the production of the chips. The student can calculate forest energy costs of the various production chains. The student will understand potential for wood processing into the energy as part of the wood production.

The forest energy harvesting potential in a certain area. Energy harvesting technologies. Logging residue harvesting technologies. Stump harvesting technology. Biofuel terminals. Energy wood measurement. Wood fuel properties and classification. Energy wood converted products.
